Summary: Act as a key liaison between your assigned sales manager and engineering to ensure that each project sold includes all necessary Kahler items and will work as outlined to the customer. A keen understanding of products and processes is vital within this role. Position requires some travel and extensive customer interaction.  Position based in Fairmont, MN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as project manager/coordinator on all Kahler projects once project is sold to ensure that order is complete and accurate.  Also, work with engineering to ensure they fully understand what we are building to solve customers’ unique requirements. This requires the PC to be a liaison between sales and engineering as well as between Kahler and the customer.

  • Work closely with sales team to ensure the all required documentation and information is in place before order is processed.

  • Builds, develops, and maintains successful relationships with customers.

  • Reviews blueprints, plans and consults with Kahler engineers and techs to provide the customer with information on the installation and operation of Kahler systems.

  • Suggest any necessary changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials and/or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.

  • Provides technical support and possible service to clients through the creation of graphical representation of their plant (Process Flow Diagrams – PFD) on industrial touch screens and computers.

  • Continue to seek knowledge of Kahler products and customer’s requirements.

  • Coordinates final test of customer projects in house.  If requested arranges for Factory Acceptance Test in house before system is shipped.

  • Attend training provided by vendors to Kahler.  This training will be in regard to electronic scales, flow meters, electrical power devices and graphic displays.

  • Monitors project progress and takes action to assure successful goal accomplishment.  This includes attending all telephone conference calls which is used to monitor a project’s progress and address any delivery or design issues.

  • Help to create a positive, trusting and friendly work environment for staff and end customers.


Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
